Your first visit

Your first visit, in order

A first visit takes about 75 minutes, and later visits about an hour.

  1. 01

Step 1: Arrive a few minutes early

The front desk walks you to the room. There is a short form with your name and contact details, and no medical questions on paper.

  2. 02

    Step 2: Talk first

Pushpa or Astrid asks what you would like from the visit and about anything you want us to know. You can say as much or as little as you like.

  3. 03

    Step 3: Get comfortable

You choose how much to remove, and you are always draped with a towel or sheet. Nothing starts until you say yes.

  4. 04

    Step 4: The visit

A facial, acupuncture or both, explained step by step. You can ask for lighter, slower or a pause at any point.

  5. 05

    Step 5: A few notes

Water, a slow sit-up and what to expect over the next day. We suggest a rhythm for next visits, and it is your call.

Getting ready

What to wear, eat and bring

  • Wear

Something loose and easy to move in. A hair band helps for a facial.

  • Eat

A light meal an hour or two beforehand. Please don't come on an empty stomach.

  • Bring

A list of your medicines and what you use on your skin, and any questions.

  • Skip

Heavy makeup, if you can. We cleanse first, but a clean face is a head start.

Tell us first

Tell us when you book or at the start of your visit, and we will explain what changes.

  • You are pregnant or might be.
  • You take a blood thinner, bleed or bruise easily.
  • You have a pacemaker or another implanted device.
  • You have had lymph nodes removed.
  • You have had fillers, wrinkle-relaxer injections, laser or a peel recently.
  • You have allergies to oils, nuts or fragrance, or sensitive skin.
  • Needles worry you.

None of these means you can't come. They change how we work, and we would rather know.
